EASTER 2012
Ashlyn has finally gotten to the age where she understands the concept of holidays. She may not know what exactly they are, or why we have them, or what they mean, etc...but what she does understand is this: a special day is coming, in which I will most likely get either presents or candy. This is enough to instill the excitement and anticipation that is so fun for holidays. We try to teach her the true meanings as we go...and she will get it eventually, but for now we just have fun. =) Here is a few pictures to demonstrate our cute little Easter we had.

Getting ready to dye easter eggs. It was hard to get her to leave them in long enough. And she insisted on putting the eggs in the dyes...which resulted in more than one cracked egg.

Easter morning she woke up to an Easter egg trail leading to her basket, and yes, the shopping cart from Target that she loves so much.

Yummy.
We went outside to do a photo-shoot with her new Easter dress. She would not go without her new shopping cart.

So happy with her Easter chocolate.
It was so fun to watch her get excited about the Easter bunny. That morning she was almost speechless (which is a small miracle for this little chatterbox) and kept gasping and saying "look it" at each new thing she saw. These new things ranged from her shopping cart, to the jelly bean in her basket. After she got over that, she went around the living room trying to find the eggs the easter bunny hid everywhere. She would find one, run over to her basket, and dump the candy completely in, before going to find the next one. Then we went to church with her all hyped up on candy. =) I'm sure nursery was fun that day.
